Of volcanic origin, Lake Chambon, equipped for swimming and water sports, has received the blue flag label. Located in the municipalities of Murol (don't miss the visit to the fortified castle of Murol) and Chambon-sur-Lac, with an area of 60 hectares, its shallow depth allows its waters to warm very quickly, which makes it an ideal bathing site! With its two equipped beaches, with many playgrounds, it is very popular with children and families. Nautical activities are practiced there such as kayaking, canoeing or angling. A landscaped path allows you to go around it on foot (in about 1 hour) or by bike, admiring a superb panorama.
